Steven Amshen is one of Axylyum’s founding partners and Chief General Counsel. His aggressive approach and strategy include constant “touch-points” with litigation stakeholders, including court communications, in-house counsel management, and outside counsel. Issue-focused litigation in Federal and State Courts empowers Axylyum to maximize equity capture from the underlying asset. Mr. Amshen has observed that there are many successful professionals that are all talk with regard to litigation. However, he feels that what is most important are the actions taken and the results they produce. 

Throughout his career, Mr. Amshen has attended thousands of bankruptcy hearings that have dealt with complicated foreclosure issues. His hands-on approach help to ensure that the attorneys who report to him remain involved in every aspect of litigation. Mr. Amshen is a member of the New York City Bar Association ‘Mortgage Foreclosure Task Force’ and has received numerous awards including the ‘Super Lawyers Rising Stars-New York Metro’ 2016-2022 and ‘Lawyers of Distinction’ 2021-2022.
